Robert Patierno

Born in 1949, Robert Patierno received
an MFA in printmaking from Syracuse
University in 1980. He is an internationally
renowned printmaker, draftsman and
painter whose works have been exhibited
in numerous solo, juried and curated
exhibits in galleries and museums
throughout Europe and across the
United states. An avid fisherman, his
graphic and powerful works often reflect
his time spent in the outdoors along the
Susquehanna River Valley and surrounding
rural landscape. His work can be found
in the permanent collections of The Royal
Museum of Art, Antwerp, Belgium; the
Frans Masereel Centrum Pour Grafiks,
Kasterlee, Belgium; the Erie Art Museum;
the Lancaster Museum of Art; and the
Southern Alleghenies Museum, Loretto,
PA. Robert was a Founder of the
Pennsylvania College of Art and Design
in 1983 where he taught for two decades
before leaving in 2003 to work full time
as an artist. He now maintains a studio
in a renovated commercial utility building
north of York, PA.
