Born in 1949, Robert Patierno received an MFA in printmaking from Syracuse University in 1980. He is an internationally renowned printmaker, draftsman and
painter whose works have been exhibited in numerous solo, juried and curated exhibits in galleries and museums throughout Europe and across the United states. An avid fisherman, his graphic and powerful works often reflect his time spent in the outdoors along the Susquehanna River Valley and surrounding rural landscape. His work can be found in the permanent collections of The Royal Museum of Art, Antwerp, Belgium; the Frans Masereel Centrum Pour Grafiks, Kasterlee, Belgium; the Erie Art Museum; the Lancaster Museum of Art; and the Southern Alleghenies Museum, Loretto, PA. Robert was a Founder of the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in 1983 where he taught for two decades before leaving in 2003 to work full time as an artist. He now maintains a studio in a renovated commercial utility building north of York, PA.
