Stephen March Untitled (Paper Mill) 2006 - 2007 acrylic on canvas 32 x 72 inches Stephen March was born in York, Pennsylvania and currently resides and maintains a studio near Spring Grove, PA. He received his B.A. in Fine Art from Penn State University and his M.F.A. in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently the upper school art instructor at York Country Day School. His artworks, created with various media and addressing contemporary political, social and spiritual issues and events, have been exhibited in solo, juried and curated exhibitions throughout the mid-Atlantic region at such places as 55 Mercer Gallery, NYC; Arnot Ar t Museum, Elmira, NY; Keystone Art & Culture Center, Lancaster, PA; Resurgam Gallery, Baltimore, Maryland; York College of Pennsylvania; University of Delaware; Chautauqua, New York; and The Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio. March’s work has received many awards and is in public and private collections including the Masur Museum of Ar t, Monroe, Louisiana; The Chattahoochee Valley Art Museum, LaGrange, Georgia; and The State Museum of Pennsylvania.
