Lorann Jacobs has been working in
bronze for the last twenty years. Her
formal art training includes study at the
Maryland Institute of Art and Design in
Baltimore and York College of Pennsylvania.
She now commands a broad knowledge
of her craft, including doing her own
patinas. Lorann has been commissioned
to complete many public works for such
places as the Fireman’s Memorial Park,
Rutherford, New Jersey; St. Joeseph's
Preparatory School, Philadelphia, PA;
Immaculata College Library, Allentown,
PA; and Penn’s Landing at Fairmont Park,
Philadelphia, PA. Her work can be found
in numerous public, corporate and
private collections throughout the
United States and abroad including
the state Museum of Pennsylvania and
the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia.
She has exhibited her work widely,
including a solo exhibit of her sculptures
at the James A. Michener Art Museum,
Doylestown, PA. Lorann lives in
Dallastown, PA where both she and
her husband, watercolorist Joe Jacobs,
have their studios.
