Liz Hess And a Little Child Shall Lead Them A full-time artist from Lancaster Pennsylvania, Liz's roots sink deep into Lancaster soil where she traces her family line back to some of the first Swiss immigrants to settle the Pennsylvania countryside in 1717. Once a year Liz travels abroad to paint on location, visiting many inspiring places which fuels her artistic spirit. Capturing the charm of Tuscany, Venice, Provence, or the sweeping vistas of Ireland, has proven to be invaluable in stretching Liz's artistic imagination. Her most popular series, the Red Umbrella Collection, was first created on one of these trips. The figure(s) with the red umbrella, takes the viewer on a journey to many of the beautiful locales Liz has visited, including her local surroundings in Lancaster.
