Gary G. Greene
Mountain Solitude
14¼ x 10½"
Gary’s love of nature has influenced his work from his earliest years. He considers himself a plein-air painter, preferring to sketch or paint on location rather than being restricted to his studio. Working in a variety of media over the past four decades, watercolor has proven the most spontaneous and portable of all.
Serving as Artist-in-Residence, Gary has participated in the Arts in Education Program of the Maryland State Arts Council. He is a member of the American Impressionist Society, the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, and the Pennsylvania Arts Experience and was a former President of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters.
Gary’s paintings are found in private and corporate collections, including Washington National Cathedral; the Kennecott Copper Corporation; Baltimore Gas and Electric Company; and International Business Machines.

"
Nature is awe inspiring. I feel so much closer to God when out in nature. Everywhere I look, I see motifs and they change constantly with lighting and seasonal change". |
