Rob Evans Night Life 1998 oil on prepared paper 18 x 19 inches Rob Evans was born in Boston in 1959 and grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. After graduating from Syracuse University in 1981with a BFA, Evans moved to his grandparents’ farm overlooking the Susquehanna River in York County where he currently lives with his family and maintains a studio/gallery in a renovated barn. Evans’ paintings and drawings have been featured in museum exhibitions in Russia, India, and throughout the United States and can be found in the permanent collections of many prominent museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; Corcoran Museum of Art, Washington, D.C.; and the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. to name a few. He has received grants from the PA Council on the Ar ts and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and his work has been featured in numerous books, magazines, newspapers and on public radio and television.
