I have been creating art for half a century. I am both experimental and prolific. New directions continually weave and combine to create the unexpected. Seeds of new work are constantly generated. Of the 100 plus works in progress, I choose those that beckon.

My studio spans the entire ground level of our farm house.  It is my paint box containing 40 years of collected media and objects, organized for easy access. In my assemblage, the history and function of found objects is redefined and hybridized by chance relationships. As I get older, the urgency to materialize what lies within me grows greater.

Two years of art scholarships in Miami from 1962-64 prepared me for the Philadelphia College of Art.  Beginning in 1968, I illustrated in New York, produced work for publishing, television and studio art. My wife, Virginia and I have owned and operated Dream Framer in Lancaster, PA from 1976 to present.
