Born in Lititz, PA in 1961, Steve de Perrot
has studied ar t since childhood and
developed his passion for working in
clay in 1982, while a student under Jack
Troy at Juniata College. After college he
continued to explore the nature of clay
through workshops and an intensive one
year assistantship with Bernville, PA potter
John Troup. Steve established Pots by
de Perrot in 1985, a family run studio and
gallery space located behind his home in
Lititz. Steve created a “PA Woodlands”
donor tile wall for the Lititz Public Library
in 1999. This commission opened doors
to a new creative mix of tile tables in
wood and wrought iron and accent tiles
for kitchens, baths, etc. Recent years have
included many custom tile commissions
including the “Seasons of Life” bas relief
carved fireplace at the Moravian Manor
Retirement Community and a donor
recognition wall at Asbury Woods
in Erie, PA.
