Jack Bingham Evergreens with Late Snow oil on a canvas covered panel 8 x 16" Jack Bingham resides and works in his studio/home in downtown Lititz, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society, the Daily Abstract Painters Gallery, and the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania as well as the Pennsylvania Arts Experience. In February 2008, after working full-time for 30 years in the art and picture framing business and painting part-time, he decided to leave the framing business to pursue painting full-time. Jack works with soft pastel on paper and oil paints on canvas to produce drawings and paintings of the Lancaster County landscape. His large scale landscapes are painted with vivid colors and borders on abstraction. Most of his ideas for paintings begin from drawings and from photographs he takes while riding bike around Northern Lancaster County. In addition to painting scenery around the Lancaster county area, he also travels with his family to Vermont in the fall to work on paintings. |
